The Challah is Round to symbolize a Crown. Our G-D - the King of Kings, and Queen of Queens.
The "Jewish New Year" is a time for remembering the previous year and planning for the next.
During Rosh Hashanah we wish each other: "L'SHANAH TOVA U'METUKA" (which means "To a good and Sweet year")
Iy is an old tradition for the family's to dip Apples and Challa bread into Honey, and Wish itch other "L'SHANAH METUKAH" - To A Sweet Year.

During Rosh Hashanah 100 notes are blown on the shofar each day.
The names of the Shofar notes are:
TEKIYA.....A long clear blast
SHVAREEM...A set of three short notes
TRU'AH.....A fast call of 9 very short notes in a row.
TEKEYA GDOLA...The Great Loud long Shofar blast.

** It is a Mitzva, a commandment, for us to hear the voice of the Shofar on Rosh Ha'Shanah and Yom Kippur,
TASHLICH
Tradition tells us to go to a body of running water to cast our sins away.
We observe Tashlich, ("casting off") our sins.
by casting small peaces of bread onto the running waters.
The peaces of bread are eaten by the fish, ducks & birds).
We look back and remember good and not so good things we did in our past.
We ask our loved ones, friends, peers, everyone we might have hurt or done wrong to please forgive us.
While we again wish everyone a Happy, Healthy, Sweet and Peaceful year.
While Looking forward, we hope not to repeat our wrong doings, We look to a goal in the New Year, help others, give to the needy. and just try to be a better person to Ourselves, Others, as well as to Animals and Nature.
On Rosh Hashanah we great each other with "L'SHANAH TOVA Tikatevoon" which means: May G-D write you in the good book of Life for a Good and Healthy Year!
Old legend tells us that during the High Holy Days G-D writes down, in his book of life, whether or not we had led a good life during the year, telling us that our actions are judged by G-D and needs to look at by ourselves.
